WCSD Employee Recognition 2025-2026

Principals from each site honored their school's Teacher of the Year (TOY) and Classified Employee of the Year (EOY), as chosen by their staffs:

Actions from the Board Meeting

Certificated Management Appointment - Assistant Director of Educational Services

The Governing Board took action to appoint Ngoc Nguyen as Assistant Director of Educational Services. Board approved, 5-0.

Lane Valente Industries, Inc. - Electrical Vehicles Charging Stations at Walnut Heights

Steve Miller, Director of Maintenance/Facilities, requested approval of a Sourcewell contract with lane Valente Industries, Inc. in the amount of $44,427.30 for EV supply equipment and related services at Walnut Heights. Board approved, 5-0.

Resolution 25-26-20 Employee Recognition Month

Superintendent Morgan requested Board approval of Resolution 25-26-20 recognizing May 2026 as Employee Appreciation Month. Board approved, 5-0.

Resolution 25-26-21 Mental Health Awareness Month

Superintendent Morgan requested Board approval of Resolution 25-26-21 recognizing and supporting May 2026 as Mental Health Awareness Month. Board approved, 5-0.

Amended Board of Education Meeting Dates for 2025-2026

The Governing Board considered moving the 1st June Regular Board Meeting to 8th June. This amendment ensures the entire Board will be present for appointment of the next Superintendent. Board approved, 5-0.
