Dear WCSD Staff and Community,

I hope you are enjoying your spring break. The weather is beautiful and perfect to take a long walk or visit one of our local parks. Let's not forget that baseball season is in full swing as well. Go Giants!

I am excited to share that the Walnut Creek School District's Measure J Modernization Project will continue this summer, bringing important improvements to Buena Vista, Murwood, and Walnut Heights.

These upgrades are possible because of our community's strong support of Measure J. We are deeply grateful for your investment in our students and schools. Your partnership allows us to create learning environments that are safe, modern, and inspiring for every child.

Each school has shared detailed information with its families, and PTA meetings have been held with me and/or our Director of Maintenance and Construction, Steve Miller, to provide updates and answer questions. We truly appreciate the thoughtful engagement and support shown at these events.

Construction at all three sites will begin on June 4th and continue throughout the summer months. Indian Valley and Tice Creek are scheduled for the next phase of Measure J, and we look forward to sharing more information as that work approaches. Additional details about the full project timeline are available on our Measure J page of our district website.
