Notice is hereby given that the Walnut Creek School District will conduct a public hearing regarding the Determination of Textbooks and Instructional Materials at its regular meeting on September 15, 2025. The hearing will begin at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as practicable. Information regarding live-stream meeting access will be posted with the Governing Board Meeting agenda 72 hours prior to the meeting.

The Governing Board encourages participation by parents, teachers, members of the community and bargaining unit leaders in the public hearing to assist the Governing Board in making the determination whether each pupil, including English learners, has sufficient textbooks or instructional materials in mathematics, science, history-social studies and English/Language arts, including the English language development component of an adopted program as well as each pupil enrolled in a foreign language, consistent with they cycles and content of curriculum frameworks.
