CAASPP Discussion

Jan Rogenski, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, presented an informational report on the Walnut Creek School District's 2025 California Assessment of Student Performance and progress (CAASPP) results. To view the presentation, click HERE.

Measure J Update

Vince Morales, Chief Business Official, and Stve Miller, Director of Construction/Maintenance, provided a Measure J progress report with a recap from ballot to summer 2025. To view the presentation, click HERE.
 
Actions from the Board Meeting

Community Partnerships

WCEF shared their 2025-26 goals, expenses, endowment, restricted funding, and fundraising updates. (as of 10/22, they're at 48% of their goal!) WCEF then presented the district with a donation of $815,000.
School site principals and their PTA/PTO/PERC representatives shared information about the activities & events at their sites, and presented their 2025-26 budgets. This is an annual requirement that the Board consider acceptance of donations per BP 3290 - Gifts, Grants, and Bequests. Board approved, 5-0.

Recommended Updates and Additions to Board Policy

Marie Morgan, Superintendent, requested approval of recommended updates & additions to Governing Board Policy, Administrative Regulations, and Board Bylaws, based on legal recommendations from the California School Boards Association (CSBA). Board approved, 5-0.
