Tice Creek Community,

As I write this letter welcoming back all of our students and families to a new school year, I do so with a sense of excitement and energy for the year to come. I can’t wait for our students to walk onto campus on the first day of school. Tice Creek will open its door for our 10th year! This is my 6th year as the Principal at Tice Creek, and this is the most thrilled I have been to start the school year since my first year here. 

This school year can be summarized as a “Back to Basics” year. This means a renewed focus on our Core Curriculum and Project Based Learning with students being present and engaged in learning throughout the school day. Please remind students to keep personal communication devices (cell phones, smartwatches, AirPods) in their backpacks during the school day. This will be an essential part of students being present with each other and their teachers in their learning. I am very excited that we are also adding two new classes to our Tice Creek family this year. This year we are adding two special day classes that were previously at Buena Vista. I can’t wait for our new Coyotes to be welcomed and start the year here!
