    Halloween costume guidance:

    1. We must be able to identity students; no masks that cover the entire face.

    2. Face paint is acceptable as long is it not gory (i.e. no blood)

    3. No weapons. Even fake weapons made of plastic, foam, etc.

    4. Inflatable costumes are ok for the parade only.

    5. Students must be able to remove their inflatable costume for class time

    6. Costumes must not reference weapons, drugs, or alcohol.

    Wellness

Hats off to Mrs. Pennington & the WH staff for a successful launch of The Oasis, our Wellness Center! Students have been visiting by invite and drop in. We are working to keep it a calm, inviting space for all. Students check in every time they arrive. If it's crowded and they are feeling great, we may ask them to drop in at another time.

Earthquake preparedness - We are participating in the Great Shake Out tomorrow morning. This will be a short earthquake drill where we practice "drop, cover and hold on." We intend to do a bigger drill with some scenarios and simulated parent pick up later in the year.

This is a good time to check in with your family. What's your emergency plan? Do you have supplies? Does your family have a meeting spot? For resources and ideas, click here.

    Sincerely,

    Amy Romem
