Report an Absence

Attendance is very important for your child's learning and every effort should be made to ensure they are in school every day. If you child must be absent, please be sure to report the absence to the Attendance Office.

The Walnut Creek School District encourages every student to attend school every day! School attendance has a direct impact on student achievement. To avoid unnecessary absences, please follow these tips:

• Only miss school due to illness such as vomiting, diarrhea, or fever within the last 24 hours.
• Schedule medical appointments and extended trips when school is not in session. 
• If your child seems anxious about going to school, talk to the teacher, principal, your doctor for advice.

If your child must be absent, please be sure to report the absence as soon as possible.

Parents are requested to report all absences for students prior to the start of the school day.
