Angela Gramlick is the TK-5 Principal of Buena Vista Elementary School in the Walnut Creek School District. She is a K-12 educator with over twenty years of experience in elementary, middle and high school who was working as a K-4 Principal and Student Services Director for Ross School District prior to joining the Buena Vista Bulldog School Family. Before working for Walnut Creek School District, she had also worked as an administrator in Marin, Napa and Solano counties.

Prior to her work as an administrator, Mrs. Gramlick was a classroom teacher for 15 years. Early literacy is a strength in her teaching and leadership repertoire. She also believes the importance of STEM in education cannot be underrated as we are creating true 21st Century Learners that will lead the next generations. She holds strong belief systems around the teaching of the whole child and tapping into and fostering individual strengths to help students feel passionate about their own learning. She believes great teaching begins with strong connections and feels this begins by administration making those connections with staff, students and parents.

Mrs. Gramlick is a first generation college graduate of the University of Southern California where she double majored in Political Science and American Studies. She earned her teaching credential from Chapman University and then pursued her masters in Educational Leadership and Administration from Touro University. She has also completed The Reading Summer Institute at the Teachers College of Columbia University. She holds both the California multiple subject teaching credential and an administrative credential.

When not working with students and teachers, Mrs.Gramlick is passionate about cooking, swimming and hiking, recreational reading, UCLA football (where her oldest child plays) and spending time outdoors with her husband, two college aged children, and her two dogs.
