Walnut Creek School District Planning

The planning process in the Walnut Creek School District guides our work and enables our school community to focus its effort in service of our vision and mission. This ongoing process has provided the basis for change, improvement, and growth for over ten years.  All WCSD school sites strive to align their site plans to the District plan, making system-wide changes in a focus manner. The complete WCSD plan can be viewed on the District website at www.wcsd.k12.ca.us.

Walnut Creek School District Education Foundation, K-12 (WCEF K-12)

WCEF K-12 is a vital resource that helps our community make public education a priority, builds pride and support for our schools, and helps bring the non-school community into the educational process.

WCEF K-12 is a fundraising organization dedicated to providing quality education and enrichment programs to EVERY one of the over 5,000 students in the Walnut Creek School District and

Las Lomas High School.

Together with the PTAs, PTOs, PTSA and our local parcel tax, WCEF K-12 helps fill the gap in state funding by providing the money necessary to sustain academic and enrichment programs essential to the distinguished schools our children enjoy today.

WCEF K-12 works closely with all seven school sites to identify programs that need funding, and find ways we can work together to meet those financial needs.

Our Pledge, Our Goal

Funding from WCEF K-12 will provide programs that:

• support the broadest number of students possible,

• can be distributed with equity and parity,

• will not be loaded with administration costs,

• will not rely solely on parents, but look to the community

and businesses for support, and

• foster a continuity of quality education from grades K-12.
